Description: everything from Dwell by creashens @ catscap a little bit of therapy for me... as soon as I saw the little houses I saw this page... our little house is standing on shaky ground at the moment... following the 7.1 earthquake @ 4.35am Sat 4 September... journalling reads... 4.35 am Saturday 4 September 2010 a moment in time that Cantabrians will not forget quickly... I simply can not imagine any worse way to wake up... that first fraction of a second that it takes for your brain to register what the hell is happening... then before that second is even over your body is thrown into motion... the need to move so urgent... to get to your children... to protect them from the fury that is unfurling itself around you...the noise that all of a sudden registers in your brain... the second all the noise becomes one of the few things you can actually focus on... the moment that you actually realise that the shuddering, the creaking and groaning... is really real... that the earth is trying its absolute best to rip your life apart... that its trying to rip apart the one place you should feel absolutely safe... and for all the noise being terrible... the silence that follows is worse... is it over... is it about to happen all over again... and yes it does... but this time they are aftershocks... not quite as big as that first one but there is still no way to discount them as nothing... not when they make your haven creak and tremble again... Now its just a case of enduring the on going trembling... wondering just when it will stop... and hoping and praying that its sooner rather than later...
